Clubs opt for a " PLAY IF YOU CAN - REARRANGE IF YOU CANNOT" Solution.
We are pleased to report on an excellent Pre Season Meeting on Tuesday 9 April when clubs voted with an overwhelming majority for the weekend of 27th and 28th of April as the official start of the season.
This is the “Hybrid” solution recommended by the Management Committee, taking account of the size of the Liverpool Competition area and the different reports of ground readiness received. It is a Play if you can – Rearrange if you cannot, solution for all Saturday and Sunday fixtures on 27th and 28th (with Juniors and Women's and Girls following on), to what has been a difficult time for all clubs. Rearranged Fixtures must be played by Sunday 13 July.
The Fixtures for Saturday 1st and 2nd X1s originally scheduled for Saturday 20 April will now be played in Week 5 - Saturday 18th May with the Cup Fixtures scheduled for that day now to be rearranged by the clubs involved at the earliest possible opportunity, (A play by date will be issued shortly)
The fixtures for Saturday 3rd X1s from 20 April are to be rearranged at the earliest possible opportunity.
Club Officials present at the meeting received full details of how all this will work.
