Owing to the restrictions caused by Coronavirus/Covid 19, the funeral service is now limited to close friends and family only.

The wake at Birkenhead St Mary's CC afterwards is now cancelled. The family and club together will arrange a memorial event at the club to replace this on a date to be advised.

Bob's funeral will be held at Landican Crematorium South Chapel, Arrowe Park Road, Woodchurch, Wirral CH49 5LW on Wednesday 1st April at 11:30 am, to be followed by a celebration of his life at Birkenhead St Mary's Cricket Club, Ashville Road, Birkenhead CH41 8AU.

Mourners are requested to wear their club/cricket ties.

The club informs that their much loved president Bob Davies died earlier yesterday, Tuesday 3rd March aged 91, after a short spell in hospital.

He will be greatly missed by all at St Mary's and by his many friends from the L&DCC.

Bob had a very fine innings and the club will forward details of the funeral as they become known.
