PLAYER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME 2024

An LCF/L&DCC Development Centre at Birkenhead Park.
Now in its 15th year, the Liverpool Competition Player Development Programme is to be held for the first time at the Birkenhead Park CC Indoor Cricket Centre and will once again be delivered in partnership with the Lancashire Cricket Foundation Development Centres.
All players, boys and girls, from Liverpool Competition Clubs, including those from our clubs representing the Wigan Junior League, who took part in the 2023 Lancashire Interleague Competition, have been offered 10 hours coaching over 5 sessions between January and March 2024. The cost per player is subsidised using the fines money collected in 2023.
The course is not compulsory and does not prevent individuals taking part in any other Lancashire Cricket Foundation Development Programmes. Please note however, Boys and Girls selected for 2024 Lancashire Age Group squads will receive development in their County squads and should not book on to these courses.
L&DCC Chair Eddie Shiff said “This is a great effort from our Junior Committee together with the Lancashire Cricket Foundation. Continuing to pursue the ECB’s Inspiring Generations Strategy, this is the delivery of a commitment to all those youngsters taking part in the inter league games in the summer providing access to quality individual personal development”.
