UPDATE ON START OF THE SEASON

START OF SEASON 2024

The L&DCC Management Committee are aware of concerns expressed that some
clubs are facing a challenge to prepare their grounds for the scheduled start of the
season on Saturday 20th April, due to the recent extended period of wet weather.

We will continue to monitor the situation and consider contingency options, which
may include postponing the start of the season for1 week.

We will use the Captains’Meeting (viaZoom, link distributed to Secretaries) onTuesday
26th March to gain information and will discuss the matter further with clubs at the
Pre-season SGM scheduled for Tuesday 9th April at Bootle CC, following which a
definitive decision will be taken.
