37 clubs already incur fines !

A major part of the "behind the scenes" activities of running a cricket club in the LDCC involves meeting the league requirements of attending all club meetings, recording and approving of results on play cricket in a timely manner as laid down in the regulations and completing fixtures.

With regard to the recording and approving of results, each division has an Assistant Result Secretary (ARS) who collates the Match Result Forms (MRFs) and associated team sheets (duly signed in the space allocated) and checks if teams are supplying MRFs and team cards, approving the result on play cricket(meaning that the club has agreed that the information on the scorecard is correct) and actioning any Unsure or free text player entries.

An analysis of the first six weeks of the season has seen fourteen clubs already incur fines of £50 or more with seven of those clubs exceeding £70. Eight clubs (including full members Formby, Rainhill and Wavertree and five of the associated member clubs) have yet to incur any fines from the information supplied by the ARS.
