CLARIFICATION OF CUP PLAYING REGULATIONS 2024

LCF KO rules for 40/45 overs; ECB T20 rules for T20s
TO CLEAR UP ANY MISUNDERSTANDINGS AND TO ENSURE CONSISTENCY THE FOLLOWING APPLIES TO ALL CUP MATCHES. We apologise for not having amended the information in the handbook (on the website) but will do so as soon as possible.
Please refer to the following for all Cup matches under the management of the Liverpool Competition.
45 / 40 OVER COMPETITIONS 2024 - PLAYING REGULATIONS
All 45 / 40 over cup competitions for this season are using the latest (currently 2023) version of the Lancashire Cricket Foundation (LCF) Knock out Playing Conditions with the following caveats :-
1 - The LCF KO is based on 45 overs. The 3rds Leddy Cup 40 overs, will pro rata accordingly with the Power play reduced by one over and a maximum of eight overs (or one - fifth of the total) per bowler
2 - Duckworth - Lewis- Stern (DLS) will be used to determine a winner in the event of a weather affected disruption unless both team captains and match officials agree before the coin toss to use Average Run Rate.
3 - 1st XI Digman / Tyler cups will be scheduled to start at 13:00.as per the Liverpool Competition regulations. If you agree a different start time the MCUA must be advised in advance.
4 - For both 3rd X1 Cups, The Mike Leddy and the Mike Dunn Players eligible under playing rule 4.1.2 on countback are subject to restrictions under playing rule 7.1.6.4 (age).
4 - For the Leddy Cup up to the Quarter Final Stage, the use of the 30 yard circle should be used unless both captains agree otherwise

T20 COMPETITIONS PLAYING REGULATIONS
All T20 competitions INCLUDING THE ECHO CUP are using the ECB Generic T20 playing conditions.
