WAVERTREE TAKE GIRLS U15'S 2020 SOFTBALL LEAGUE TITLE

Wavertree girls produced some outstanding cricket to take the 2020 Softball League title. In its second year and starting much later in the season due to the Covid restrictions, the league was contested between Rainhill, Hightown Hurricanes and winners Wavertree with each team playing each other twice.

A number of the games were close, but the Liverpool club played with great consistency and saw them lift the trophy with a 100% record, with Rainhill runners up.

All the participating clubs are to be commended for their efforts in getting the games on at short notice, ensuring junior cricket could take place in this truncated season.

Player of the Season was Wavertree's Cassie Nation for her all-round performance.
