RESTART GROUP - UPDATE
The Liverpool Competition Restart Group met on 10 February. Significant progress has been made.
Specific attention was paid to the most favourable Cricket Solution(s) related to timescales whilst acknowledging that all the issues relating to Covid Restrictions, Covid Secure environments, Travel, Tiers, Social Distancing, pavilions, bubbles etc. would be crucial to the eventual outcome.
The Group also recognised that everything, including the probable continuation of Adapted Cricket as in 2020, is subject to ECB Guidance and Direction and approval by the DCMS.
A normal start on Saturday 24 April remains the primary objective with subsequent scenarios should this not be possible, fully discussed and being worked up.
The group meets again on Wednesday 3 March following which all details will be shared with Club officials at the next scheduled Zoom meeting on Tuesday 9 March. (Should any National, ECB, or LCF information received in the meantime require any of these dates to be brought forward, we will do so).
