THE LIVERPOOL ECHO INVITATION CRICKET KNOCKOUT

32 Clubs to compete for this K.O. prize.

32 clubs will battle it out for the prestigious 20-over trophy in 2012 with this year seeing a new regional group format designed to ease clubs’ midweek travel commitments before the competition returns to an open draw for the second round.

The dates of each of the rounds are:

First round: May 31/June 1 Second round: June 28/29
Quarter Finals: July 26/27 Semi Finals: August 16/17
Final: To be arranged.

Copies of the rules have been distributed by the Liverpool Echo to all clubs and the competition will take place on the dates as above. There will be no exceptions, unless agreed by the organisers, or through adverse weather conditions.

In order to retain the Liverpool Echo readers and all supporters up to date, Jamie Bowman (Liverpool Echo Cricket Correspondent) should be e-mailed with a notification of the date each club arranges for each match to be played. Similarly the winning club should email Jamie with the result and details of their match, either on the evening of the fixture or on the following day to enable the Echo to keep up to date, round by round and include the information in their newspaper.

Please Note: The Liverpool Echo Cup is organised and managed solely by the Liverpool Echo appointed organiser and that there is no requirement for notification to be made to any other publication or individual.

Clubs are invited to confirm this arrangement independently with the Liverpool Echo organiser should they wish to do so.
