KNOCK OUT COMPETITIONS – MISSING RESULTS

At the time of creating this bulletin, results are missing on Play-Cricket in every KO Competition after the deadline.

Clubs are reminded that where play-by dates are set for any round and it proves impossible to meet the requirement an automatic 7 day extension is allowed. A result must be achieved by this extended date unless Management Committee accepts that there are exceptional circumstances. No such requests have been received this season.

Until all the results for a particular round have been entered on Play-Cricket the fixtures for the next round cannot be created. Therefore teams will be unable to see their fixtures, set up their teams on TCS, and if matches are played it will not be possible to enter the results.

In the ‘Ray Digman’ Trophy, Chester Cup and Embee Trophy either the matches have been played but results not entered or they are due to be played on 26 May. But in the U16 & U21 KO Competitions several matches are not due to be played as follows:

U21 KO (play by 18 May + 7 days = 25 May) St Helens Town v Ainsdale (27 May)

Formby v Old Xaverians (30 May)

Caldy v Prestatyn (TBA)

U16 KO (play by as U21 KO) Wavertree v Prestatyn (30 May)

Ainsdale v Spring View (TBA)

Management Committee has agreed that the play by dates for Round 2 of the U21 & U16 competitions will be extended to 15 June, i.e. absolutely no later than 22 June. Other rounds are not affected.

In all KO competitions clubs are reminded to keep the appropriate Cup Coordinators advised of their agreed fixture dates. Only a couple of clubs have done this to date. The coordinators will update the fixture dates on Play-Cricket with this information.

Matches may be played before it is possible to create the fixtures on Play-Cricket and hopefully teams will not have to wait too long to enter their results.
