RESTART COMPETITION - NEW REGISTRATION PROCEDURES

Greater flexibility available.
Recognising the current circumstances we appreciate that some players may wish to play for clubs other than where they are currently registered, due to ease of travelling and access etc. Therefore the Restart group has agreed the following changes to registration procedures for the Restart Competition starting on 1 August.

It is the new club’s responsibility to enter the player on to Play-Cricket.
First XI games
All new players must be registered by 5.00 pm on the Friday before the game. (5pm Saturday if the game is to be played on a Sunday)
Covid–19 temporary transfers and registrations will be allowed subject to agreement of the club holding the player's normal registration. These players will be subject to the approval of the Management Committee and will revert back to their original club after the competition has ended.
Only Overseas players who are already in the UK as at 1st July 2020 will be allowed to compete.
Players may not play for more than one club during the Restart tournament.
Second XI games
Recognising that some clubs may need to extend their playing strength during this time, the normal registration requirements ( players are required to be registered ahead of the game) are being relaxed and registration details can be submitted for new players for up to 48 hours after the game (similar to current 3rd XI registrations).
Agreement must be obtained from the Opposition Captain that these “unregistered” players can play in the fixture. (Any, hopefully unlikely, disputes around this can be referred immediately by telephone to the League Chair who will be available to respond).

Please note that these arrangements refer to the Restart Tournament only. Separate registration for the 2021 season will be required even for those players who join a club for the duration of the Restart tournament and for whatever reason decide to stay.
