FORMBY'S 150th ANNIVERSARY WEEK

World Stars day the highlight on Thursday (9 July)

Next week sees Formby Cricket Club celebrate their 150th Anniversary as a Cricket Club. A whole host of celebratory events are planned including a World Stars game, a Presidents X1 match and a Comedy Night. The details are as follows:

Sunday 5th of July: Presidents Day
President Charles Mills is hosting the day which sees the MCC playing the Presidents X1.The match will be a timed game starting at 12pm.  

President’s XI: Graeme Morris (c), Stephen Dutton, Dave Hadden, Luke Tinsley, Tom Mills, Mark O'Connor, Tony Rogan, Gary Keedy, Patrick Pisel, Dr Jude, Jack Vale

Wednesday 8th of July: Comedy night
Local and international comedian Bren Riley will be bringing two of the North West's top comedians to Formby CC for a comedy night. Doors open at 7.30pm. Tickets are priced at £10. Contact Tom Mills for tickets

Thursday 9th of July: World Stars XI Corporate day. Some of the biggest names in cricket will be at Formby together with over 200 guests in the marquee. The 30 over game will start at 3pm. The game will be followed by live music in the clubhouse.

The World Stars X1 will feature:

Steven Mullaney, Samit Patel, and Jake Ball from Nottinghamshire; Brendan Taylor Zimbabwe and Notts; Gareth Cross Lancashire, Derbyshire and Clifton CC; Warren Hegg England and Lancashire; Paddy McKeown Lancashire and Liverpool CC; Pravin Tambe Rajasthan Royals and Rainford CC: Paul Hutchison Yorkshire, Sussex, Middlesex and England A; Bright Njanji MidWest Rhinos (Zimbabwe) and Hightown St Mary’s CC.  Special Guest: Graham Stuart Everton and England
