Helmets and Play Cricket Congratulatory emails

Helmet Guidance

The ECB and PCA strongly encourage all cricket clubs and cricketers to review their existing head protector equipment. The following link www.ecb.co.uk/helmets will take you directly to the guidance notes which have been placed on the ECB web site. Please communicate to your members.

Player Communication Emails

Play-Cricket.com Player Communications has been rolled out nationally in 2015  which include the County Honours Boards. Just like last year, this element of the email is creating lots of conversations.

The objective, as it was in the 2014 pilot, is to contribute to more players, playing more frequently by offering relevant products, such as opportunities to play Indoor Cricket, in certain areas play Last Man Stands and being a catalyst for cricket conversation.

Please encourage your members to update player email addresses on Play-Cricket.com  and to opt into receiving ECBV Communication to ensure your players receive the communications.

-          Honours Boards are only distributed by email and are not on Play-Cricket.com. They are designed to engage players directly via email, and as an incentive for opting in to receive ECB emails.

-          The link to your county’s Honours Boards and the National Honours Boards is shown above. Please feel free to share and circulate it!

-          The link will remain the same throughout the year. Save this link and check for updates every week. Please use these Honours Boards to share with your leagues, clubs and players.

-          The Honours Boards on these links will show last weekend’s scores, and are replaced every Wednesday (PM) after we’ve sent the email to players. The previous weekend’s Board will be replaced.

-          To save each Honours Board as an image, simply ‘right click’ on the image and select ‘save as’.

-          Honours Boards only contain top performances from cup and league fixtures, where the full scorecard is uploaded to Play-Cricket.

-          Honours Boards only contain scores from senior and women’s fixtures.

-          Honours Boards are at county level, not league level. Due to resource, it is not possible for us to create Honours Boards for every league in 2015.

-          The National Honours Boards at the end of each year are mounted here, at the ECB offices at Lord’s.

All of the statistics are drawn from Play-Cricket.com to support the National Player Communications. If your clubs experience any challenges with the system or require support please direct them to the ECB Play-Cricket.com Helpdesk. The Helpdesk can be contact via  play.cricket@ecb.co.uk
