IMPORTANT UPDATE AS WE APPROACH START ON 1 AUGUST

Date: 22nd July 2020

5 KEY POINTS TO BE AWARE OF FROM THE ECB

As we approach the start of our Restart Competition (1 August) and know that after last week’s excellent response to caution when considering friendly fixtures that many clubs are now in a position to take the field this week with Risk Assessments completed and full safety measures in place, we take the opportunity to pass on those areas most commonly not being adhered to throughout the country and of concern to the ECB.

  1. Social distancing measures – amongst players when off the field and particularly among spectators.
  2. Changing rooms are still being used.
  3. Spectators throwing the ball back when the ball has left the field of play
  4. Lack of signage at clubs including little evidence of infographics,
  5. Clubs not sending their protocols/ Risk Assessments to away teams and umpires before the game.

NOTE

The three competitions are being played under Ray Digman Chester and Mike Leddy Rules.

A guide to the main points from the playing conditions including points system, balls, umpires fees etc. will be sent to all clubs this weekend and published on the website.

Meanwhile a reminder to those clubs not yet having confirmed the completion of the Risk Assessment to Chris Weston chrislizweston@talk21.com to do so as soon as possible.
