Rock 'n' Roll Marathon Liverpool outline route
The start line is at the Albert Dock, Liverpool Waterfront, followed by the Unesco World Heritage sites of Pierhead, the Beatles Statue and the three Graces.
After mile 1 the course does not climb the flyovers (due to now being closed), and turns left at the Superlambanana and heads across Leeds Street.
The route to the north of the city and towards Anfield and Goodison from the city centre (Mile 1) to Netherfield road (Mile 3) has changed and doesn't follow Islington anymore.
At Goodison it will pass through the famous Dixie Dean gates, taking in a loop of the stadium.
Stanley park will still play host to miles 5-7 of the course before the course passes near Anfield Stadium, and then follows the course back to the city centre.
