This competition both provides opportunity for girls to play in a female only competition and allows talent ID to take place for county squads. Having two blocks of competition will allow two observation periods, one for this summer and one for the following winter.

Format

U10 (year 3/4/5) – softball cricket 8 a side pairs. Targeting girls with experience of kwik cricket and All Stars

U12 (year 6 & 7) – Hardball Pairs targeting girls with experience of using a hardball

U14 Year 8 & 9) – Hardball 11 a side targeting girls with experience of playing in a hardball team

At each age group there will be 4 teams, these teams will be split once all nominations are received and will aim to form 4 even skilled teams and not based on geography. Depending on the number of nominations we will hold an observation session to aid selection of these squads.
