ONE of the country’s oldest T20 competitions is set to return for 2018 – and it’s open for entries.

The Liverpool ECHO Knockout Cup began in 1974. Last year’s honours were taken by Northern, who beat Bootle by seven wickets in the final last August thanks to an unbeaten 46 from skipper James Cole.

For this year’s competition, organised by the Liverpool Gin Liverpool Competition, all 37 clubs who’ve taken part in any of the past three years have been entered in the draw.

They are: Ainsdale, Alder, Aughton, Birkenhead Park, Birkenhead St Mary’s, Bootle, Burscough, Caldy, Chester Boughton Hall, Churchtown, Fleetwood Hesketh, Formby, Hightown St Mary’s, Irby, Liverpool, Maghull, Neston, New Brighton, New Victoria, Newton le Willows, Northern, Old Xaverians, Ormskirk, Oxton, Parkfield Liscard, Port Sunlight, Rainford, Rainhill, Sefton Park, Skelmersdale, Southport and Birkdale, Southport Trinity, St Helens Town, Sutton, Upton, Wallasey and Wavertree.

Should any of the clubs listed not wish to take part – or if any other clubs are interested – they can contact Eddie Shiff on shiffnbcc56@live.co.uk by Friday, March 16th .

The draw, which will be regionalised up to the quarter final stage, will be made during the week commencing March 19th.
