ORRELL RED TRIANGLE WIN ECB INDOOR LEAGUE 2017 LANCASHIRE ROUND.....

A great piece of work and a first for an L&DCC side!
We have had no L&DCC winter league in 2017 - the date has been shifted to Feb 2018 - so our 2016 winning team, Orrell Red Triangle, was invited to represent the L&DCC again in 2017.
Orrell played Blackburn CC in the first game. Blackburn CC won the toss and chose to bowl. Orrell made 181 off 12 overs. Top scorers were A.Mottram 31*, R.Everett 25*, S.Patel 25*.In the Second Innings Orrell bowled and fielded well to restrict Blackburn to less than 120. There were key wickets from G.Houghton and A.Sartaj.
In what was effectively the Final Orrell went head to head against Farnworth Social Circle CC. Farnworth won the toss and chose to bat. With some excellent bowling from Houghton and Mottram, Farnworth SC were held to a miserly 117 from their 12 overs. Those of you that have played indoor stuff will know that that's a great piece of work and Orrell went on to win with comparative ease. In reply they knocked off the runs in just 9.4 overs with runs again coming from R.Everett 25* and A.Mottram 25* .
Well done the Triangle, you can never beat being a first!
