SIX OUT OF SIX WINS FOR PREMIER TEAMS ON THE ROAD AS SEASON STARTS IN SUNSHINE

Wigan top Division 1 and Northop Hall respond to new division in style.

An away team Acca in the Liverpool Gin Liverpool Competition Premier Division would have yielded a nice return yesterday, if it had been possible, as all six visiting teams won. Colwyn Bay, Northern and Ormskirk registered 25 pointers with New Brighton, Bootle and Rainhill all starting with victories.

In Division 1, Wigan are top with Skelmersdale and Rainford just behind. Highfield and Newton Le Willows also enjoyed success whilst Sefton Park and Fleetwood Hesketh fought out a draw.

Division 2 saw an immediate response from Northop Hall to register 25 points with Old Xaverians, Spring View, St Helens Town and Liverpool all winning. Southport Trinity and Maghull drew.
