ORMSKIRK ARE T20 CHAMPIONS

New Brighton beaten in final.
It was a day for draws in the PREMIER DIVISION with the top four clubs all in stalemates, Leigh with Formby, Northern and Bootle at Moor Park and Ormskirk at Rainhill. Lytham won at home to New Brighton, Wallasey beat Birkenhead Park and Colwyn Bay won at Rainford to put daylight between the two clubs.
In DIVISION 1 Wigan won a thriller at Sefton Park to go top, claiming the final wicket with one ball left and Park just three runs short and Fleetwood Hesketh defeated Maghull to move into second spot. Wins for Ainsdale and Newton Le Willows keep them in touch with the leaders whilst Burscough were thwarted by conditions at Highfield where the game was unable to start.
Skelmersdale continue to move well clear in DIVISION 2 after an eight wicket win at Alder. There were wins for Hightown, Caldy, Southport Trinity and Wavertree.

Congratulations to Ormskirk CC who go on to represent the MIDL&DCC in the Area Final of the National ECB NatWest club T20 on Sunday 7th August at Fleetwood CC - details to be released shortly. The winners of these Area Finals go forward to four Regional Finals on Sunday 21st August and these four winners will qualify for the National Finals Day, which is taking place at Derbyshire CCC on Tuesday 6thSeptember.
