The Annual General Meeting on Tuesday 13 January at Bootle CC saw twenty five proposals all overwhelmingly accepted by the clubs. With 39 clubs in attendance each item received 34 or more votes in support of the Management Committee’s proposals, many were unanimous.

President Eric Hadfield said “We thank the clubs for their overwhelming support as we continue to do our best to move the Competition forward. Many of the proposals came from working groups or were raised during the season by the clubs themselves.”

Included in the agreed proposals are:

·         Promotion and Relegation into and from Division 2 will resume in September 2015

·         A reduction in fines for 3rd X1’S conceding matches

·         Complete withdrawal of the fine for clubs playing a match with less than 11 players.

·         Provision for those over 40 years of age to play on both Saturday and Sunday – with the same restrictions as for U19’s.

·         Introduction of a “driver eligibility” category of player for 3rd X1’s and below.

·         Introduction of a Player Transfer Form.

The Chairman, Secretary, Finance, and Disciplinary Chairman’s reports were presented and after some questioning, again, were all overwhelmingly accepted and approved. A working group with eight representative clubs, has been established to look at the current Disciplinary process within the Competition.

There were no contested nominations for Management Committee positions and the current Management Committee, being prepared to stand again, continues in its current formation.
