GLADSTONE ENTERTAINS AS WINNERS ARE HONOURED AT ANNUAL DINNER

Youngsters scoop three player of the year awards.

Achievements and performances were celebrated at the 2014 Med Imaging Liverpool and District Cricket Competition Annual Dinner and Presentation at Bootle CC.

Special Guest Gladstone Small entertained all present with a thoughtful, entertaining and very funny journey through his cricketing career, pointing out that it was the people he played with and met ( Viv Richards is his number one) that he remembered more than the games themselves or his own achievements.

Master of Ceremonies Paul Edwards skilfully glided the audience through the evening’s awards, presented by the former Warwickshire and England fast bowler to League, Cup and Representative team winners. He thanked the sponsors Med Imaging for their continued support and also praised Liverpool Echo Cricket Correspondent Jamie Bowman for his sustained coverage of the Comp.

The Player of the Year Awards went to:

Premier Division: Will Hale (Lytham)

Division One: John Dotters (Rainford)

Division Two: Kieran New (Prestatyn)

The evening ended in suitable fashion with the ECB Premier Division Trophy and Pennant and the Lancashire Knockout Trophy being presented to Ormskirk.
