ORMSKIRK DO THE DOUBLE. LANCASHIRE KO AND L&DCC CHAMPIONS.

5 wicket win over Norden at St Annes today.

Ormskirk’s 52 run win over Lytham has clinched the Med Imaging L&DCC Premier Division title. Despite a narrow one run win against Fleetwood Hesketh second placed New Brighton are unable to catch the Brook Lane outfit on the last Saturday next week.

Ormskirk skipper Ian Robinson led from the front with 127 and with 64 from John Armstrong his side were able to declare after 46 overs on 255 for 5. Lytham started strongly with Will Hale (39) and Alex Davies (74) putting on 113 for the opening wicket before both fell to Dane Currency who went on to take 8 for 65 as Ormskirk raced to the title and an evening of light celebration with their Lancashire KO final taking place the day after.

Immediately after the match Ian Robinson and his side were presented with the John Tristram Trophy and the League Pennant.

Ormskirk were presented with the Lancashire Knockout Trophy by LCB Chairman Bob Hinchliffe. Skipper Ian Robinson and his Team are pictured with the trophy.
