Work begins on new facilities

Ray Fitzpatrick reports on progress with the new changing facilities

Work has finally started on the refurbishment of the Ainsdale Cricket Club changing rooms. Local builder Kadan Construction is carrying out the work and they were ably assisted by seven cricket members who formed a demolition crew for the day, removing all the interior fittings, doors, cupboards, carpets and partition walls.

Once the building is watertight, which will not be long, now that the roof trusses are in place then the project will move on apace, phase 1 will see priority given to the completion of two of the five changing rooms to enable facilities to be available for the start of the season with the whole building completed by the beginning of June.
