2014 AGM - THE CLUBS DECIDE.

No cricket on Bank Holidays and it's a return to a straight knockout.

The Med Imaging Liverpool and District Cricket Competition AGM took place on 14 January 2014 at Bootle Cricket Club.

Full and detailed minutes will, as is normal practice, be published in the documents section of this website in the near future.

Meanwhile the main outcomes from the meeting are as follows:

* No matches will be scheduled on Bank Holidays

* The Ray Digman Trophy (1st X1) and Chester Cup (2nd X1) will be played as Knockout Competitions throughout. - Initial Round will be on Saturday 19th April - See Bulletins

* The tea interval will continue to be normally taken between innings, but in any event no later than 3 hours and 15 minutes (previously 3 hours and 30 minutes) after the scheduled start of play.

* Players under the age of 19 (previously 18) are able to play for 3rd X1’s on Sundays as well as 1st/2nd teams on Saturdays – now subject to both batting and bowling restrictions.

* Pink cricket balls are to be introduced into the ECB Club t20 and Embee t20 Competitions.

* A Captain’s Conference for captains from all 41 clubs is to take place on Sunday 16 March from 10am to 3pm at Bootle Cricket Club.

* Annual subscriptions remain unchanged.

* The cost of handbooks to clubs is to be reduced. 

* Mr Philip Lovgreen has been removed as a Vice President of the Med Imaging Liverpool and District Cricket Competition in a vote by clubs of 26 to 6 with 4 abstentions
