DISCIPLINE REPORT - AGREED ACTION

A disciplinary report was received from the 1st XI match between Sefton Park and Birkenhead Park on 26 August

The report concerned threatening behaviour towards an opponent by the Sefton Park player Scott Aitchison. The club refused to impose an appropriate ban on the grounds that the umpires' report had been received too late. After several attempts to persuade the club otherwise a Disciplinary Hearing was arranged.

The Hearing took place on October 3rd and the Panel imposed a five week ban on Scott Aitchison (two weeks to be suspended until the end of the 2019 season) and also a fine of £150 on the club. The club appealed the decision.

The Appeal Hearing took place on 13 October and the club's appeal was rejected. The penalties recommended by the original hearing were confirmed. The three week ban will commence at midnight on Friday 13th April 2018.
