DISCIPLINE REPORT - AGREED ACTION

A disciplinary report was received from the 1st XI match between Rainhill and Formby on 16 September.

Formby CC has banned its player Ian Cockbain for nine weeks with an additional four weeks suspended until the end of the 2018 season. The offences included dissent, abusive obscene language towards an umpire and abuse of cricket equipment. Ian Cockbain has apologised sincerely to the umpire concerned and the wider cricket community.

The ban will commence at the start of the 2018 season.

Formby CC is commended for its swift action in this matter.
