Please note that the information published on another website relating to the above game is totally incorrect.

The statement that the game has been awarded to Newton Le Willows is incorrect.

The statement that Burscough played two Category 3 players is incorrect. (Navdeep Aujla is correctly registered as a Category 3 exempt with Burscough CC. The player incorrectly identified on the other website is a different person of the same name playing cricket in New Zealand).

As members will know it is not our practice to make reference to or respond to statements made on other websites but on this occasion the completely false information has caused great distress to Burscough Cricket Club and to the individual involved as well as uncertainty about a result to both teams.

We also feel it necessary, therefore, to inform members of the factual situation and we do so now. We also remind members that there is only one official Liverpool and District Cricket Competition Website.
