REMOVAL OF CATEGORY 3 REGISTRATIONS 2016

Date: 28th October 2016

...... as these have now lapsed.

Clubs need to remove all their Category 3 players  from play-cricket by the 30th November 2016.

As usual such registrations automatically lapsed on the 30th of September 2016 as set out in full in our regulations P46 7.1.2.

If a player is returning in 2017 that player must be re-registered from scratch.

Category 3 players are defined by ECB as having been resident in the United Kingdom for less than 18 months.

If clubs know that a currently Cat 3 registered player has now been resident in the United Kingdom for between 18-48 months they may apply through play-cricket and the usual channels to re-register the player - as set out in full under 7.2.1 et al - as a Category 3 (Exempt) player or indeed as a Category 1b player if they have been resident for more than 48 months.

Category 3 (Exempt) and Category 1b registrations do not automatically lapse.
