Clubs asked to encourage new recruits.

As has been said on many occasions in recent years there is an urgent need for new umpires. With the number of single umpire games in 2015 and looking ahead to 2016 it is clear that the situation within our league is now extremely serious. This is not just a problem for the League or the MCUA it is a shared problem with all the clubs. There is a collective responsibility to do sometnhing about it with the primary responsibility on the clubs, because that's where the potential umpires are. So, please, can clubs do their very best to encourage individuals to think about joining the ranks of the men in white coats - umpires that is. Thank you.

The cost of the Bootle Course is £50 with the costs of all the others around that level.

Note: all individuals passing the Level 1 Course receive a full reimbursement of the course fee after standing in a small number of Liverpool Competition 1st X1 League games.
