L&DCC CLUB & GROUND ISSUES

Clubs should be checking and asking for help if there are problems as .....

....sadly, very basic problems continue to be reported every week by our umpires.

1. Pitches are being marked incorrectly.

2. Stumps are being incorrectly spaced or positioned.

3. Used pitch ends are not being not repaired / levelled – and which are then a potential danger to fielders

4. Pitches are not being swept and remarked between innings.

5. The Groundsman’s containers or stores are not being left so as to be accessible; equipment is therefore not available if needed on the day or during the game.

We are a fully accredited ECB Premier League and so these regulations are based on the best practice recommendations made by the ECB in their recommendations on Ground Criteria and available both on the ECB website and on ours
