FIXTURES REVISED

Following comments received about the draft fixtures a revised set has been prepared.

As promised to the AGM, Management Committee looked at the draft fixtures.

In preparing these revised fixtures the constraint of providing reverse fixtures on the Bank Holiday weekends has been removed with the traditional fixtures being reserved for the August Bank Holiday Saturday.

Despite this, satisfying the other requests from nine different clubs means that several teams have runs of three home or away fixtures but over the eleven mid-summer weeks all teams now have five or six home matches as this seemed to be a particular criticism of the previous fixtures.

The only way to avoid uneven runs of fixtures in future seasons is to fit teams' requests into the basic fixture schedule as well as possible but to ignore any requests from clubs which can't be satisfied without altering the schedule.
