PLAYER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME 2015

We are pleased to announce the arrangements for the continuation of the Player Development Programme, now into its seventh year, and seek nominations from Member and Associate Member Clubs. The programme broadly follows the successful format adopted in previous years (see below) and the details are as follows:

Programme aimed at: Boys and Girls in playing ages (2015) between U13 and U18 inclusive.  (Nominations outside of this age ranges cannot be accepted). A maximum of 41 boys and girls will take part on the programme.

Current ability level: Playing regularly at club level aspiring to, or already at, District or Representative Level.

Venue: St Margaret’s Cricket and Sports Centre, Aigburth Road, Liverpool L17 6AB

Dates and Times: 10 Consecutive Saturdays from 17January to 21 March 2014. Two groupings: 1.00 to 3.00 and 3.00 to 5.00. (20 hours per individual) Note: This year the groupings will be based on age

Delivery: The programme will be delivered by a combination of five experienced Level 3 coaches led, as last year, by Steve Critchley ( ECB Coach Tutor) together with Mark Aspin (also ECB Coach Tutor), Chris Chambers, Chris Highton and Sam Holt.

Cost to clubs:  As last year the costs of the programme (around £5500) are primarily met out of the fines received from the previous season. This will continue. However to help ensure continued commitment throughout the programme a fee of £50 will be charged to each club per player. This will be undertaken pre-season when the League Fees documents are sent out.

Nominations: Each of the 41 clubs is invited is invited to nominate one player to take part in the 2015 programme by no later than Friday 7 November.  Clubs may also nominate a 2nd choice individual now (clearly marked) and these will be considered after should there be any places still available after the closing date.
