TWO MORE TEAMS WITHDRAWN FROM SUNDAY 3RD XI LEAGUES

Date: 6th August 2014

Orrell Red Triangle 4th XI and Mossley Hill 1st XI have been withdrawn from Div 1 North East and South West respectively.

Orrell Red Triangle 4th X1 have been withdrawn by their club from 3rd XI Sunday Division 1 North East for the 2014 season.

This follows on from the club conceding four matches and being unable to guarantee to fulfil future fixtures. The club has been fined for three concessions in accordance with similar precedents.

Mossley Hill 1st XI has also been informed that it has been withdrawn from 3rd XI Division 1 South West for also conceding four fixtures.  The club has been invited to the next Cricket Committee meeting on 19th August to discuss its future plans and will be fined in accordance with similar precedents.

All points relating to games played will be expunged from the league table.

Other fixture changes will be necessary to ensure that all teams play the same number of matches in 3rd XI Division 1 North East, ie seven matches home and away.  In particular the match between Maghull and Wigan on August 17th will not now be a league fixture, and one of the matches already played between Spring View and Wigan will be deleted by the Cricket Committee when it next meets.

The teams are encouraged to still play their remaining scheduled fixtures as friendly matches with the agreement of their opponents.
